Tips &
Tricks: For better Reservationless/automated conference calls
The Basics:
Avoid cell phones, speaker phones and noisy environments, and
encourage your participants to do the same. This becomes more and
more important as the size of your conference call grows. It's common
sense, really, but you wouldn't believe how commonly problems arise
from these mistakes. Being proactive with the Mute/Un-mute [*6] and
Presentation Mode [*7] commands will pay big dividends by minimizing
static and background noise.
Advanced:
Dialing out* - Did you know that you can dial anywhere in the world
from the conferencing system? As long as you are dialed in on the
Chairperson Entry Code, you simply dial [#3] + [area code] + [phone
number] for a domestic person, or [#3] + [011] + [country code] +
[phone number] for people abroad. If you reach the intended person,
press [#5] to return yourself and them to the conference, otherwise,
press [#4] to drop the dialed line and return only yourself to the
conference.
